TRIUMPH TR6

1972 Triumph TR6 PI 150 BHP. Blue with black upholstery. tThis super TR benefits from the full
power 150bhp engine and overdrive gearbox to make the most of its ample performance. As
the Heritage Certificate confirms, it was built in August 1972 and was sold to its first owner via
Mann Egerton of Colchester two months later. Supplied with a large file of invoices charting
regular upkeep over the last 25 years, it appears to have had an engine rebuild in the
summer of 1993 (with invoices on file for new main bearings etc) since when it has covered
around 25,000 miles as documented by 27 old MOTs back to 1990. It has also been uprated in
numerous areas over the years including the fitment of a rollover bar; TriumphTune alloy
rocker cover; sports coil; rev limiter; heat-wrapped six-branch exhaust manifold; twin
stainless steel sports exhausts; electric cooling fan; Bosch fuel pump; polybushed
suspension; adjustable front gas shocks; additional front driving lamps etc. In 2007 the
interior was retrimmed with new carpets and black leather seat covers and inertia reel seat
belts have also been fitted. A neat security feature is a fuel pump cut-off switch hidden in the
ashtray on top of the dash and a red flashing light on the centre console to ward off thieves
when parked up with the hood down. Starting promptly and running sweetly as we took it for
photographs, it also sounded fantastic. Supplied with a mohair hood and tonneau cover, it
also has an indoor car cover, an owner’s handbook and an MOT valid until March 2019. Much
enjoyed during the current seven-year ownership, this discreetly uprated TR6 will no doubt
bring a great deal of pleasure to its new owner in the coming summer months. Absolutely
