TRIUMPH TR6

1972 Triumph TR6 150 BHP PI in Signal Red, manual overdrive.
The TR6 was introduced in 1968, and was the best-seller of all the TR range. TR6s featured in-line six-cylinder engines, and like the TR5, it was fuel-injected for all markets except the US. The Lucas mechanical fuel injection system helped produce 150 bhp at model introduction, but it was later detuned to 125 bhp. The TR6 had a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive, semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension, rack and pinion steering, pile carpet, bucket seats, and full instrumentation. Braking was by front disc brakes, and drum brakes at the rear. A factory steel hardtop was optional. The TR6 dashboard was wooden, and factory options included, a rear anti-roll bar and a limited-slip differential.
The beautiful TR6 was the previous owners pride and joy for 27 years and has had many upgrades whilst in his ownership and has outstanding bodywork.
The car has had a full engine rebuild and is fitted with 3 x Dellorto twin choke carburettors, a stage 2 head, fast road cam, uprated disk brakes, uprated suspension with nylon bush upgrade, Triumph Tune twin sports exhausts, clutch rebuild, differential rebuild, refurb clutch slave cylinder, Pirelli P6000 tyres with good tread, CD player/radio. The car has recently had a new battery, alternator and full service and tune from TR Enginuity in Acton on the 15th September 2020. The car has had a full respray and now looks a picture. There are some unused spares, many receipts, and a good history folder. As you can imagine this well sorted TR6 is an absolute pleasure to drive and is ready to be enjoyed in new hands. The overall condition of this car is stunning and drives just as you would expect. Strong engine, smooth gearbox with overdrive and the correct oil pressure.
