TRIUMPH TR4

1965 Triumph TR4. Genuine U.K Car. This TR4 has spent the past 32 years in the North of Scotland. It was first registered on the 19th March 1965 and rides on its period, correct steel wheels, is equipped with overdrive and prior to its most recent owner who bought the car in 2016, the TR4 spent 25 years with one owner in Forres in the North of Scotland on the Moray coast. The car has spent the last three years in Aberdeen. The car is equipped with a Red Standard Triumph performance engine, stamped ‘Stan Part', equipped with a high port head and fast road cam and earlier this year the Zenith carburettors were rebuilt and a new Pheonix stainless steel performance exhaust has been fitted. The engine is super strong fit and healthy holding excellent oil pressure and performs superbly. The four-speed overdrive gear is smooth and the car drives very well holding the road nicely. The TR4 was restored back in the very early 1990's and at this point was fitted with fibre glass front and rear wings. Almost 30 years on from the restoration, and having spent long periods in dry storage it presents well with a nicely aged older paint finish and the body is nice and straight with a structurally superb underside. The interior of the car is presentable and tidy, the engine bay is particularly smart, and the chrome work is excellent. The hood is very good having been recently replaced. This well presented, older restoration is priced very sensibly and will make an ideal 1960's summer touring car, one to really use and enjoy without needing any major expenditure.
