ROVER 100 12 P2 1939

vehicle overview

1939 Rover 12 HP. Believed to have been bought new by the two Miss Wilkes sisters of Pillerton Hersey, Warwickshire.who had a business in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. When the sisters passed away the car went to Leslie Hitchman of The Hills, also Pillerton Hersey, who used to drive the sisters to Tewkesbury each week in connection with their business. The car was acquired by the present owner in 1995 and repair work carried out in 1998 to the brakes, radiator, semaphore indicators etc. The car is totally original including threadbare carpets. This model the P2, was still being built after the war in 1948 with minor optical changes and provided the first Land Rovers with many of their innards. The car displays a fabulous patina both inside and out and is a true survivor. The Rover starts on the button and still drives but we would recommend a small amount of recommissioning as the car has not been used for some years and stored in a private museum. An ideal classic to use and improve. Viewing is highly recommended. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Please contact us for any further information. Delivery can be arranged
