The Shadow's arrival in 1965 resulted in many firsts for the company, including: unitary construction, disc brakes and independent rear suspension. Though smaller than the Silver Cloud III, it possessed greater space and boasted far more contemporary looks. At launch it was powered by a 172bhp V8 engine of 6,230cc, though this was enlarged to 6,750cc during 1970.

This low mileage (odometer showing a credible 47,000 miles), righthand drive Shadow I is finished in Regal Red over a contrasting tan leather interior. The previous owner the late David Nudd Esq cherished this Silver Shadow keeping it garaged throughout it's life and used spareingly, it was the centre piece of this RREC members collection. This 'Chippendale Dashboard' Shadow retains it's original paint and pinstriping and has fitted aftermarket headrests and has the optional extra of rear picnic tables. The car drives beautifully on the road with soft supple suspension & a silent engine. This car represents an entry to Rolls Royce ownership of a car with that would be ready to use now or form part of a collection. Offered with a small amount of paperwork including old MOT and registration documents, together with some receipts and sundry paperwork dating back to 1976. Absolutely any inspection is welcome.
