1972 Opel GT 1900 Coupe Left Hand Drive. A striking car in Factory Orange with black upholstery. The first generation Opel GT (1968-1973) debuted as a styling exercise in 1965 at the Paris and Frankfurt motor shows. The production vehicle used mechanical components from the contemporary Opel Kadett B and two-door hard top bodywork by French contractor Brissonneau & Lotz. The styling of the GT was often cited as similar to the 1968 Chevrolet Corvette which went on sale in September 1967. This Opel is unusually a European import, the speedo shows a warranted 171,000 kms (120,000 miles). A very rare car in Europe many have suffered with dashboard cracks and other issues. This GT has recently received light re-commissioning to include new propshaft rubbers, a brand new carburettor and a reconditioned radiator. The current MOT runs until June 2018. In the folder are some original magazine adverts and original sales brochures. The car drives very well with a strong engine, this GT has been upgraded with a 5 speed gearbox which makes touring and motorway driving a lot more pleasurable. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. Viewing is highly recommended and we know you won't be disappointed. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Please contact us for any further information. Delivery can be arranged.
