1938 Morris Eight Four Door Saloon Series II. Black with a red interior and a sliding roof. Lovely original example with a recent full engine overhaul, superb interior.
Morris's great Thirties success and one of Britain's best-loved pre-war cars, it is no exaggeration to say that the Eight was the car that saved the company. It was an affordable family car, better suited to the now busy English roads than the larger models in the range. So successful was it that within three years of its introduction in September 1934, over 160,000 had been sold.
This lovely Morris was supplied new in Wem, Shropshire and was always local to that area. Owned for many years by a successful garage owner who sold it to his salesman he then bought it back in 2005, although the engine was seized at this time it was a problem soon rectified. Staying with the family the car was used for local trips and taking the kids to and from school. The paintwork remains very good and this Morris is in very good original condition, particularly the upholstery which has a lovely patina. The car starts on the button and drives well with a good engine and gearbox. Perfect for shows or rallies. This Morris would grace any private collection and is a car we would be very proud to own. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit cards accepted. UK mainland delivery included. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram @morseclassics
