1959 Jaguar XK 150 3.4 FHC Manual Overdrive. Pearl Grey with red leather upholstery. Supplied
new by Farnham Motor Company on 12th Novenber 1959 (Build date August 1959) to Mr A. K.
Malcolm. Mr Malcolm then took the car with him to Uganda where it was registered URR 706,
he and the car returning to the U.K in April 1962 with the mileage reading 11,243 and a full
service history. At this point the car was returned to the Jaguar factory at Browns Lane where
it was repainted and given a thorough mechanical inspection, probably due to the poor
roads in Uganda. It was delivered back to Mr Malcolm on 14th May 1962. Mr Malcolm
continued to drive the car until 18th July 1967 when it again returned to the factory at 20,073
miles for a check and to replace parts as required. He then moved to the Isle of Man where
the car was registered 5885 MN. In September 1969 at mileage 22,425 he delivered the car
once more to the Jaguar works at Coventry where it was put on display in the entrance hall
showroom. Mr Malcolm collected his car on 29th June 1971 and continued to drive and
service it until 15th August 1975 when he sold it to Cars of Distinction in Liverpool, the mileage
recorded as 23,208. The car was then purchased by a Mr Woodside of Northern Ireland and
registered GOI50. It passed through two owners who bu July 1984 had bought the mileage up
to 27,928. It then passed in to the hands of Mr Miskelly who owned the car until his passing in
1995 when it was sold with 31,472 miles to Mr McFarland. Mr McFarland only drove it for
another 582 miles and in May 2003 the car was purchased by Mr David Todd with a total of
32,054 miles. In 2009 the car was purchased by its current keeper Mr Underwood at 34,583
miles. During this ownership the car has had a full bare metal body restoration (October 2018.
Invoice and photgraphs on file) and a full engine and gearbox rebuild by Jaguar
Northampton at a cost of £9600. (Invoice on file). This Jaguar is a matching numbers car with
the best history you could ask for dating back to the cars delivery in 1959, also in the history
portfolio are two original log books, the original owners wallet, a large amount of old MOT
certificates confirming the mileage and a beautiful hand written journal recording the cars
life up to 1975.
