1963 Ford Zephyr Six MK III Police Car. Ermine White with red upholstery. Dating from 1963, this particular MkIII looks every inch the period police car.It has only had three owners since 1978, the second of whom fully restored the car in the late-1990s, including an engine rebuild, before the last keeper acquired it in 2011. He has enjoyed the car greatly over the last six years, being invited to every Goodwood Revival where the car has been enjoyed by many thousands of visitors at this superb event, both on and off the track. It has also earned a good living in the film and TV world, including appearances in ‘Endeavour’ and ‘The Quiet Ones’, and has also been featured in the Daily Telegraph. Still in good order throughout and packed with police features such as ‘blues and twos’, PA system and a radio, it also has a rare twin exhaust system in heavy gauge stainless steel and an electric fan to keep it cool on the track. There is a Police sign for the front grille which is easily removed for use on the public highway (as the law requires). Supplied with a very large file of invoices and photos documenting the restoration and regular upkeep since, it has an MOT with no advisories recorded but we will apply a fresh MOT upon sale. Although all the police equipment is easily removable if desired, why would you do that when you can have so much fun at Goodwood? Viewing is highly recommended. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit and credit cards accepted. Please contact us for any further information. Delivery can be arranged.
