1959 Ford Zodiac MK II. 2.6 Straight Six Manual / Overdrive. Two tone blue and grey paintwork with original two tone leather and a new carpet set. The Mark II Zodiac was slightly altered to distinguish it from the lesser variants, having more elaborate tail-end styling and at the front a different grille. The auxiliary lamps and wing mirrors were deleted from the Zodiac range but it retained two-tone paint, whitewall tyres, chrome wheel-trim embellishers and gold plated badges. A car tested by the British magazine The Motor in 1956 had a top speed of 87.9 mph (141.5 km/h) and could accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 17.1 seconds. The test car cost £968 including taxes. This Zodiac is a really good solid car which is fantastic underneath with no signs of welding, the body work is straight with no signs of rust or rot. The brightwork is very presentable and has just been fitted with four new whitewall tyres. It had a service and a new clutch just over 1,000 miles ago. The car drives as it should with the six cylinder engine pulling well and the manual gearbox smooth and free from any whining with working overdrive. It has been enjoyed over the summer by its previous owners attending various shows and rallies. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. All major debit cards accepted. Delivery can be arranged.
