1960 Ford Anglia 105 E Deluxe in Speedway Blue with a two-tone Blue interior. Ford's fourth and last Anglia - the 105E - broke cover in 1959. The styling displayed a strong American influence and included a sweeping nose, notchback rear window, and muted tail fins. The newcomer benefited from an equally new engine, a 997cc OHV straight-four unit codenamed `Kent', versions of which powered all manner of Fords for years after. It was mated to a four-speed manual gearbox with synchromesh on the top three ratios. The suspension was by MacPherson strut at the front and leaf-sprung live axle at the rear.
This car has benefitted from a comprehensive restoration between 2018 and 2019 with very few miles since. The restoration included the following - new rings and main and big end shells, new oil pump, new water pump, new clutch and plate new master and slave cylinders, new starter motor, new alternator conversion, new triple core radiator with electric cooling fan and switch. New battery, new electronic distributor with cap leads and coil, new headlights sidelights horn. Milton front disc brake conversion with new discs callipers and pads, new brake cylinders on the back with new shoes and new brake master cylinder. Gearbox was checked over by a specialist and new bearings and seals fitted
New stainless exhaust. Milton poly bushes fitted to front and rear suspension, reconditioned track control arms, new wiring loom with wires for cooling fan. The whole car was soda blasted and underneath was coated with 2 pack Raptor Anti-corrosive protector. New door and front and rear windscreen rubbers. New old stock windscreen. Sold by us before in less than 24 hours the previous customer couldn't get the TR4A out of their minds so we have taken this back in part exchange as who wouldn't want this beautiful car to re-sell.
Upon test drive as you can imagine this car fired up straight away and drove without fault, wanting for nothing and ready to form part of a collection or be used to weekend shows or leisurely drives.
