This lovely 1947 Field Marshall Series 2 was sold to the previous owner in 1993 at a Cheffins auction. Prior to 1993 a farmer and vintage enthusiast owned the Marshall as part of a collection, the catalogue and newspaper clippings of this large vintage sale are still part of it’s history folder. The farmer had already had the tractor restored in 1981 and had fitted new tyres front and back, big end bushes, piston rings, oils seals, radiator and had her sand blasted and painted.
In 1993 the previous owner bought her and then in 2009 sent her to Robert Crawford (Marshall Agents) for further restoration work costing £5877 + VAT, since then the tractor has been dry stored and used only for shows. She starts on the handle on the first/second swing or can also be started by cartridge.
