1927 Austin Seven Chummy in Green with green interior black hood and side screens. The Austin Seven was produced from 1922 to 1939 and proved to be one of the most popular cars built in Britain during the 1920's. Two thousand cars were made in the first year of production and within a few years the "big car in miniature" had wiped out the cycle car industry and transformed the fortunes of Austin. By 1939 when production finally ended, 290,000 cars and vans had been made.
This truly adorable Chummy was the subject of a nut and bolt rebuild courtesy of the previous owner with the car also benefitting from a complete respray. Stunningly-presented in green over black that’s matched to green upholstery and carpets, ‘YH 2488’ has self-evidently had many hours of love and attention lavished upon it. The car is equipped with a very good convertible top and side screens also come with the car for inclement motoring. The car is great fun to drive and is admired by all.
Upon test drive this Austin drives very well a nippy little engine and a nice smooth gearbox it brakes and handles well. It's ideal for some weekend fun, regular use or something to enjoy taking to shows. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. Viewing is highly recommended and we know you won't be disappointed.
