AUSTIN A35

1961 Austin A35 Light Van. Tweed Grey with red leather upholstery. Introduced in 1956, the Austin A35 replaced the highly successful A30. The name reflected the larger and more powerful 34 hp inline-four engine. The A35 is very similar in appearance to the A30, except for a larger rear
window aperture and a painted front grille, with chrome horse-shoe surround, instead of the
chrome grille on the A30.
Purchase by the previous owner in 2005 as a project this Austin has had a full restoration. Fitted with an uprated engine due to the original having cylinder head problems. The body was fully restored by Appollo Sports Cars with photos on file. Once completed the vehicle was used daily for several years until 2015 before being garaged for the last five. A number of MoT certificates have been collected dating back to 1990 along with the original driver's handbook and receipts from the restoration process. Upon test drive this Austin drives very well with a strong, quick engine, lovely gearbox and it brakes and handles well. NFO852 presents well with smart Tweed Grey paintwork, a clean tidy upholstery and engine bay. It's ideal for some weekend fun, regular use or something to enjoy taking to shows. These Austin Vans have been increasing in value and demand.
